چکیده

Abstract A nerve‐sparing procedure during robot‐assisted radical prostatectomy has been considered one of the most important techniques for preserving postoperative genitourinary function. The reason is that adequate procedures could preserve both erectile function and lower urinary tract after surgery. When a carried out, cavernous nerves themselves cannot be visualized, despite magnified viewing field prostatectomy. Thus, have challenging operations, even now. However, because not all surgeons out sufficient number procedures, development new or methods mapping required. Recently, various operative techniques, example, Retzius‐sparing prostatectomy, transvesical retrograde release neurovascular bundle technique developed. In addition, surgical devices, biological/bioengineering solutions nerve protection devices identifying developed to nerves. contrast, limitations problems in become apparent. particular, recovery rate function, positive margin at site indications sparing obvious with accumulation much evidence. Furthermore, predictive factors also clarified. this article, importance comprehensive approach early era discussed.

Factors affecting erectile function after radical prostatectomy.

INTRODUCTION Radical retropubic prostatectomy is a therapeutic option for treatment of localized prostate cancer. The goal of radical prostatectomy is to completely remove the tumor while preserving erectile function and urinary continence as well as factors that determine the postoperative quality of life. There are many factors influencing sexual function after radical prostatectomy of locali...

Comprehensive approach for post-prostatectomy incontinence in the era of robot-assisted radical prostatectomy.

Robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) has enabled steady and stable surgical procedures due to both meticulous maneuvers and magnified, clear, 3-dimensional vision. Therefore, better surgical outcomes have been expected with RARP than with other surgical modalities. However, even in the RARP era, post-prostatectomy incontinence has a relatively high incidence as a bothersome complication....

Impact of Obesity on Early Erectile Function Recovery after Robotic Radical Prostatectomy

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Studies are limited regarding the impact of obesity on early erectile functional outcomes after robotic radical prostatectomy. Our goal was to determine this impact using patient-reported validated questionnaires. METHODS International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-6) scores were prospectively collected with institutional review board approval, for patients who und...

Erectile dysfunction in robotic radical prostatectomy: Outcomes and management

Robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) has emerged as the most common treatment for localized prostate cancer. With improved surgical precision, RALP has produced hope of improved potency rates, especially with the advent of nerve-sparing and other modified techniques. However, erectile dysfunction (ED) remains a significant problem for many men regardless of surgical technique. To id...
